base cleaner has been known to to make base material not last as long. you heard him say that it is acidic, it dries out the bases and slightly degrades the material. at my shop we use the wire brush and a damp rag to get the bases clean and it seems to do the trick pretty well.

do not use base cleaner. that shit is terrible for your skis. there is a very easy solution for this. its called hot scraping. <br>

To hot scrape you wax your skis normally just like matt did. instead of letting the wax soak into your bases immediately scrape the wax off while the wax is still warm. you will be able to see the dirt in the wax shavings. <br>
