Hey Whats Up NS! Thanks for checking out this weeks episode. I'm stoked to hear your comments. I'll try to check off a few of them here.
Re: P3t3r's question, if you get new boots, depending on the make and model as well if you needed new boots cause your foot grew, it could change where you are positioned on the ski. If your shell is bigger, it will move your heel piece back and so you would move closer to the tail by result. Opposite obviously if you down size your shell. Most boots should fit 2 sizes smaller than your sneakers.
Re: BamBam - good observation. The reason why midsole is still deeper towards the tail and most shapes are still tapered, or asymmetrical, is because the ski then lends itself to a more modern all mountain design thus opening the category of consumers that would like it. You can build symmetrical shapes with set-back midsoles but you'd end up turning sharper off the tail and longer off the tip. I like Sweetums response - its like our MSP but centered vs. its current 5cm setback. Interesting. With some rocker, the tips would still float in pow but you'd be centered for all around jibbing.
Thanks guys, stay tuned as we got a whole season ahead of us with these episodes. - MS
Awww, come on dude. Catering to the masses? There's definitely room in the 4FRNT range for a mid-flex symmetrical all-out park ski that's designed to be centre mounted.
