I def agree with this list...seeing you post in the Olympic thread, I can definitely tell youre amongst the biggest supporters of Canadian freeskiing out there lol
Just a big supporter of the sport in general.
and i found the olympics sad since there were some of the best rail tricks ever put down in a slope contest, but the judges didnt reward it.
My favourite run in the whole contest was woodsy's in the final. He had me screaming, the run was just so tech and he went HUGE on his jumps. Bummed for him he didnt get to land it clean
I agree.. Judges REALLY need to open their eyes to rail sections like they do jump sections. If someone does a standout trick on rails it barely counts for shit.
Judges need to open their minds period. All they cared about on the rails was that you made it out 100% clean. But they don't reward creativity on jumps even more so including tech grabs, unique takeoffs and rotations. Gus was hitting the quarterpipe feature in qualifier and stopped hitting that during finals because it did nothing to distinguish his score.
We all rag on figure skating but at least those judges still hand out real scores if one trick isn't stuck perfectly. I actually now think freeskiing judging could learn a few things from figure skating.
