If God in all respect created you, then how would he not be able toturn water into wine?In response to BrokenBones question dealing with owningslaves…So do you agree that owning slaves is ok, as long as theirfrom another country?No I do not believe that owning slaves is ok at all and Iwould never buy or own a slave if given the opportunity. My first reaction is that you will saywell you truly don’t believe that that the Bible is stated as fact… However letme also state that I failed to mention that yes I do believe that the Bible isstated as fact but I also recognize and fully understand that the Bible waswritten in a different time period therefore it was also written in differentcontext because of that time period. So to fully grasp and understand the Biblewe at times need to place ourselves in that historical period.To further address your slavery question one could look at, 1 Corinthians 7:21-24,“Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it troubleyou- although if you can gain your freedom, do so. For he who was a slave whenhe was called by the Lord is the Lord’s freedman; similarly, he who was a freeman when he was called is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do notbecome slaves of men. Brothers, each man, as responsible to God, should remainin the situation God called him to.”What this basically is saying is… Christian slaves shouldlive contentedly in their situation, realizing that they have become free inChrist. So if a man was a slave when He came to Christ he should understandthat it is by no means a restriction to his faith and will not stop him fromspreading God’s word. However the Bible also states that if a man is given achance for freedom he should surely take it. Finally if a man is free whencoming to know Christ he should also recognize that he is a slave to Christ’sword for Christ has saved him from the bondages of sin.I hope this all makes sense, sorry its so long!

I have no clue why half of my sentences arent spaced properly maybe its because I typed it in Microsoft Word because I just copied and pasted it from there, I cant stand typing in this thread thing. Anyways sorry if it's harder to comprehend!

Anyways I probably wont be able to respond to any of this thread for the rest of the night I have mad homework due so I'm not trying to ignore anyone or trying to hide from any responses!

 
^To your first section, the miracles and impossibilities is the difference between the faithful and the faithless. Atheists such as myself cannot bring ourselves to believe that there is a single conscious entity that is above all else, and could create everything and anything with a thought.

I completely understand and respect your opinion, hopefully I didn't come across as a jerk in my response I was just trying to explain to gmack why I believe that Jesus Christ did actually perform such miracles. But yes you are right faith is surely what separates atheists and Christians.

 
Exactly, and I agree that the Bible is fairly historically accurate, mostly in the Old Testament though. I researched much of the astrological info after taking notes on the video awhile ago, and found them to be mostly spot-on accurate.
