if your talking to aussies, then yes we are lucky. our snow may not be the best ever, but we still get to ski and surf. Some people have even done that in the same day, man that would be sick!!!!

i have to drive 2-3 hrs for decent skiing and 4 for good surf

I have to drive about 15 min for really good surf but about 4-6 hours north/inland for snow. any snow, not necessarily a ski area. just snow. yeah living in Santa Cruz.
