Raekwon is a way better rapper than kid cudi. But lyrical content kills his shit. "I'm using a pyrex to cook coke." To me, thats thoughtless garbage. Okay you could get away with that stuff way back when but seriously Raekwon, your claiming your still cooking crack. Thats good man, congrats. No thought goes into those type of rhymes.

Kid Cudi pretty much took hip hop in a new direction. Production was amazing, rhymes were decent, and I absolutely loved his lyrical content and ability to paint a picture/tell a story through his album. Everything comes together and it sounds sooo good start to finish. Rather than boast about his rapping skills, money, bitches, etc. cudi decided to talk about his insecurities on his album, as apparent through his dreams. In his real life, like all rappers, he's/they are cocky as fuck, but in their dreams they face their troubles: addiction, "I got 99 problems and they all bitches", Solo Dolo, etc. PLus ratatat is dope.
 
I personally like the story Raekwon and the Cuban linx albums paint in my mind. He's an awesome lyricist and I like his drug run style but thats just me. I find Cudi kind of annoying. His music is good but I don't like him personally but he does have good shit. BUT I put Wale's Attention:Deficit in 2nd. That shit was ill.
 
P.O.S. - Never Better and Felt 3...basically anything that came out of minneapolis this year was top 10.
 
Slaughterhouse is by far the best album this year. followed by Royce da 5'9" solo album Street Hop. then Raekwon. Celph Titled, Wanna Snuggle cant be left off the list either.
 
For who ever thinks kid cudi a man on the moon album is the best, listen to a kid named cudi mixtape...it is so much better his released album
 
well i mean i wasnt gonna be a kid named cudi ya know haha its not a bad album but i just think his mixtape is so much better. there is only like 3 songs i like off of man on the moon where i like everysong minus about 3 this is all IMO obviously
 
i really dont like cudi. at all. i mean he has a couple good songs

but i really dont like the stuff he put out. Lupes mixtape was strait

fire, killed it so hard. i also hated blueprint 3. thought it was strait garbage with the exception of a couple songs. so much of hip hop is garbage now a days anyway
 
i don't listen to a wide enough variety of hip-hop to make a top ten list, but here's my favorites

and whatever else
 
Strange Journey Voume 1- hands down one of my favprite albums of all time- all other albums this year blew
