Your Surface Ski Experiance.

to those saying every ski chips, ill agree for the most part, except for the exception of my og chronics. literally been through hell and back with no evidence. i dont think its possible for them to chip.

mine have black bases with white lettering by the way, best groomer/park ski ever.

well actually 9thward out of all people is actually really good about it if you can get ahold of them. i have seen 3 pairs of surfaces break in half right behind the heel piece from landing backseat before a full season of riding and none of them were cleared for warranty. Its not like these companys are putting out park specific skis that aren't suppose to hit rails.

snapped 3 pairs of 9 lifes all within 15 days of skiing.

Still waiting for my No times, I warrantied them in September.

My experience with Surface= frustrating as hell.....

i absolutely love my new lifes. so much fun. i have some older watch lifes that are real fun too. super soft and jibby.

Surface is known not to be the most reliable ski company. You should have looked at the reviews before you bought them.

I've ridden the one life and the newlife

one life sucked at pretty much everything.

new life is my favourite ski, so playful and so easy to rip on.

how can a thread that misspells experience be valid what so ever? surface is the shit no times are super dope and one lifes aint that bad either.

snapped 2 pairs of watch lifes. really enjoyed them, but both broke after less than 40 days. which is bull in my mind

Meh, they're not too great in powder. I have mine mounted 2cm from center, and I still found myself leaning wayy back in deeper snow. Demo'd a pair of obsethed's for the rest of the day and the difference was incredible.

I love my watch life's in the park and groomers and whatnot. I broke the first pair I got at the tip and tail, and they warranteed them for the next years model. (albeit taking a couple months over the summer for this to happen).

i have three pairs of surface skis. all alive with no edge cracks. taken some pretty bad rock hits and never a core shot. mike and all the guys at surface run a really good business and there customer service is some of the best in the business. they have been getting a bad rep lately because a few kids on here have issues that they wouldnt warranty and the truth is that no company would warranty. basically threads like this are only showing the small number of bad experiences and it makes it look like its how all of their skis will perform. all ski companies will have problems with skis and customers, dont let threads like this scare away people looking at supporting one of the best companies in the industry.

I have last years one lifes and love them. Yeah theres some topsheet chipping but thats mostly my fault even though it does seem pretty easy to chip. I had hellbents previously and love the one lifes way more. They ski a little funky switch but i have no problem skiing them all mtn.

I dont understand how all of you can be so stoked on surface when the majority of the posts say the skis break before a season of riding, get off the bandwagon. Its a sick company with cool graphics and outerwear and a dope team but their quality sucks. If any other company had problems like this they would be getting the end of the stick.

Because not all of their skis have durability issues. Look at the posts, most of the issues are in their park line. The pow skis are durable. I'm hard on gear, I've destroyed skis before (Thugs and Blends). My One Lifes are still going strong besides my base damage. I trust them, I trust the skis. I'm going to continue to support Surface.

see my above post. youre only hearing from the small percentage of people who have had bad experiences. its not representative of the actual quality of their product. most of the people that ride their skis are happy with them.

I have 9 lifes and although I've only ridden them one day, they're light as fuck and mad poppy!

its not that hard with 9lives.... It must be something with the core. They were the funnest park ski ive been on, but soooo easy to snap, land a little deep and on your tail and they're gone.
