I'm pretty sure most people have "that band" that they listen to, or have been listening to forever, that is "uncool" or makes you embarrsed to admit you listen to.

For me its Taking Back Sunday. Hands down biggest stereotypical emo rock band I can think of, but it was the first band that got me really into music. Self titled CD is there best.

....and i get hated on for liking U2, to which most think i should be embarrassed. but i'm not at all, they're one of the best ever.
 
I still think her song 'You oughta know' rocks. or maybe it is just because Flea from Chili Peppers plays bass on it

you have it the wrong way around buddy, phish rocks but farmhouse was just a bunch of three minute long pop songs(they were good though). You should probably check out some of there other stuff
 
quasimoto. i mean he's the shit but when people who dont know alot about hip hop listen to him, they think he's annoying with the high pitched voice. but he's ill

I have a soft spot for hips don't lie. That song is just too great to miss out on. I also like quite a bit of Lady Gaga too haha. But I think everybody secretly likes Gaga and just pretends to hate her.
