What are your favorite jobs or your worst job. Maybe you have a dream Job that you really want to have. I Found out I got my dream job today. Right now I am a Ski instructor at my local mountain. :)

The pros of being an instructor is...

getting free ski waxing

Ski pass

9% off on food

additional 10% off on the gift shop so that like 20%

Skiing

I hated washing dishes, I'll say that much.

Right now I work in a ski shop. It's pretty cool- I get cheap passes to the resort, a free discount card that includes skiing, and discounted gear. It can be kinda annoying though, the people who come in can be so obnoxious, and sometimes there's stupid drama.

Worst Job: Food. Specifically a Pizza place.

Best Job would have to be my current job as a Marketing Director.

Perks:

-Free skiing at 5 mountains(hills though lol)

-Free trips to Vermont, Whistler, and Europe

-Proforms for everything

-Free passes to events such as iF3, trade shows, etc.

-Never pay for beer

-The job description is basically to spread stoke on skiing. And to go skiing as much as possible

Cons:

-It's stressful as fuck at times.

-Corporate dinners...ugh

-Corporate is very difficult to work with.

-Shop owners are very difficult to work with.

-NO ONE CALLS YOU BACK, EVER. UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE.

-Firing people

-Interviewing people

Working as an Usher is the best job I ever held, too bad the pay is crap. You spend about 30 minutes helping people find their seats then you spend the duration of the play or concert getting paid to read in the hallway and occasionally show a wayward soul where the bathroom is.

Great college job though, I never missed a reading assignment.

worst job i ever had was retail. getting paid nothing to work too hard and never be appreciated. minus the time i won an incentive trip to california all included. those days have come and gone.

my current job is decent, but i miss being a seamstress. ultimate dream job is tattoo artist, and owning my own clothing company. oh the elbow grease.

i kind of vote for the never working too. hahah

Right now I nanny for a family that has all three kids going to school from 9-3 every day. Pretty much all I do is ski in the morning then go hang out with some chill ass kids untill they fall alseep or their mom gets home. I'd really like to get a job in a ski shop or something like that when I'm done racing.

I work up on the hill and all I do is help little kid get on the lift and ride up with them. I ski all day and I get two season passes and 50 percent off everything, legit the easiest job ever.

Welp, im a florist. haha

I love it. I actually wouldn't mind if thats all I did for the rest of my life. Its so relaxing and you get to make pretty things and make people really happy while doing so.

I'm a lift mechanic and I absolutely love it.

Pros: winter is our chill time of year where most days we get paid to shred

No off season which is rare in the ski industry

All other departments are scared of us

Get to work on giant badass machines

Driving remote work roads in the summer and seeing incredible flora and fauna

Can fix anything on my car in the shop

Snowmobiling

Cons: lifts do break down and then it's panic time

Climbing on super sketchy shit in blizzards

Working outside during all manner of bad weather scenarios

Super early mornings

Grease on everything

Right now, I'm working as a ski instructor for my home hill which is super sweet!

Love being able to ski to work, work to ski and spend time with great clients and improving my own skiing! I went through the Ski Resort Management program which helped a ton!

Also spend my fall in a ski shop sellin' ski stuff which is cool! Too bad our winter hasn't started off too well, but I get to talk to people about snow every single day which is pretty sweet.

Also just started working with a Ski/SNB tour operator working to sell snow trips from Alberta/Sask/Prairies to the mountains! Big learning experience but it's a cool job.

If anyone's interested, let me know, PM me!

I work as a vet tech! So I get to play with puppies, kitties and bunnies all day. I get to help make them feel better:) its so much fun, and doesnt make me feel too bad about missing out on pow days.

Nope, not at all. I'm in my second year of marketing/finance right now. I applied to be the Social director(event planning & communication person) but they thought I would do well in marketing instead haha.

The best job is not needing to work. This video is relevant here:

Hoping to see Universal Basic Income in our near future or at the very least a 20 hour work week. It's been the 40 hour work week for almost 100 years now, we are overdue for a change.

All my jobs haven't been too terrible actually. TGR, NS, Bootfitter, Barista, Nanny, Landscape.

I've been working at Corbets Cabin (restaurant at top of Jackson Hole's Tram) this past summer and now again that winter's here. I get to make and eat waffles, chill at the top of a mountain, and ski everyday. This and writing for NS are pretty damn rad.
