NS who is YOUR favorite Cinematographer? strictly filming, not editing.

I love alex horners composition and style. However for me, Drew "the fatman" Lederer takes the title. His style is almost like, a perfectionist's approach to ones art. Every single one of his shots is clean, crisp and creative. And you can tell it took lots of time for each one for him to coordinate, setup and produce. He brings something new, that no one else has done every year to the season, and each time its amazing. Anyway, whos yours and why?

Ive been working with this guy called Fred Arne Wergeland. Hes from Norway. Really nice guy! Maybe most of you havent heard of him, but he has been in the business for many years. He does alot of work for MSP, but mostly he is making own skimovies. Last year he made the documentary about Henrik Windstedt.
Also I love the fact that he is still shooting 16 and 35mm film! He shoot almost all the freeskiing in TeddyBearCrisis.
He is also making alot of promotional videos for peakperformance and hellyhansen.

Love his shooting editing style.

I hope you're not talking about revolver. Please enlighten me with example of your statement.

As for me, its kevin steen, hands down. If you don't know why then get learned.

Horner is the man.
I really enjoy Kevin Steen's stuff too though. They're a lot of really good filmers. Oh, and Jake Strassman. Gotta rep dat MN!

Drew lederer is definetly an awesome filmer

Horner, jake strassman, will start are all amazing

kyle sanborn is also up there, kid slays

Holy crap, I NEVER thought I would see this as a response. You literally just made my day. That made me soo happy that someone else hasnt forgotten about this guy. Robot Food has more influence on my then any other company out there by far... and they havent even been around for the past 5 years. Just ask anyone who knows me how obsessed I am with Robot Food. Theres a reason for it. Their production work is still some of the best around and it was all made 5-7 years ago. Its what got me into filming and its what influences me the most.

Thank You!

thanks dog!
so hard to say who my favorite is; everybody has their strengths.
andreas olofsson for just ridiculously beautiful park shots with amazing colors.
scott klumb for basically all types of skiing; he's such a versatile filmer.
duncan lake and eheath for the smoothest follows.
andy hahn, galin foley, evan williams, and alex horner all just fucking kill it.

Sure he has some online edits, but his true masterpiece is the full length film he just made (there's no teaser). People on here wouldn't like it anyways, but it's my favorite.

Oh youll see some new stuff evan, trust me. His reel this year is going to be on FIRE. ive seen most of his new stuff.

I wasnt talking about strictly his stuff for revolver.

More his work in general, and shots that PBP DOESNT own.

i forgot to mention Andreas Olofsson as well, along with Kevin.

What are your thoughts on Tim Pierce's work?

ive always loved andreas ollofoson(sp) work. Shots are always fire and great vibe to his edits.

and horner is way up there to. quality stuff.

Yea I really like Duncans edits, always gets the shot perfectly, nice clean editing, smooth flow, good songs, ect.
