Help me find some sweet shops on the east coast so I can set-up meetings for SIA this year.

I have search-barred it, but I wanna know about the smaller, less known shops, not just d-structure, axis and Jibij....

go!

yeah ben is a real chill guy - super nice and helpful. other employees on the freeride side are good too. ive gotten some not so great vibes from who seemed like the owner of the rest of basin sports though - was with a friend who was looking for bindings. the man tried to sell me bindings when i kept telling him i didn't need any. he didn't know what he was talking about technology wise either and yet somehow managed to sell bindings that were overpriced by $50 to my idiot friend.

so.. lss, evolution freeride is good, but the overall shop im not so hot on. proctor jones is also another one of my favorites.

It's a race shop and my last pair of skis came for the moment webshit and they were very intrigued with them i nthe shop. It's Stan and Dan's in North COnway, NH, they have one a shit load of ski mag awards, and Stan and Dan do actually work there.

I used to love that shop. then I went in there over christmas break and they guy was a tool. I went in to get my heel piece remounted with heli-coils. the guy told me that not only did they need my boot (even though I could tell him the exact bsl of my boot), but that even with my boot it would cost me 40 fucking dollars for one heel piece to be remounted. then I went back there to see if they had picture this to get for my cousin as a Christmas gift and this was on dec. 23rd or so and some girl working there was like "oh, we haven't got any movies in yet."

get real summit, you used to be chill but now you're just another terrible shop that could care less about your customers.

oh and the ski and binding I wanted remounted were both purchased from and mounted by them.

Yup. agreed. this is one of the best shops around bruce does a great job keeping in touch with freestyle skiing and he knows what we want. the shop is awesome and fattys always sponsors tons of stuff at sundown (our local mtn) and theres a sick rail jam every year. plus the shop smells really good so whenever i get something from them once i'm home i smell it and its awesome....

City Garage in Ellicottville, NY by Holiday Valley. Good vibe, all skiing, good atmosphere.

Golf and Ski Warehouse is super sick.  I went there and they had SOO many choice for skis and boots and everythign.  They jsut had loads of freestyle stuff, oh yeah they started carrying ec headwear beanies! so dope

My favourite shop ever is Aerobics First (A1 Boardshop) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's a really good shop, friendly, and very well informed. I am pretty sure Craig is heading to SIA this year, and he runs ordering for the skis and snowboards. He really knows his shit when it comes to twins.

untracked.com for sure....they have the best damn customer service and are super fast shipping and when u buy skis and bindings from them the mount your skis fo free

yea there pretty chill at ski haus. i get sick deals on stuff there because i buy a lot of shit there, but theres hardly any kind of freestyle vibe.

potter brothers is also pretty decent

On PEI, the only real ski shop is Sporting Intentions, in Charlottetown, and they definitely could benefit from a newer brand, I have heard rumours that Outer Limits sports in Stratford, PEI is interested in bringing in some ski brands. George's Ski World (Steady Brook, Newfoundland) is a good shop and the only one I know of that sells skis in Western Newfoundland.

Yea I was going to mention Ski Co.'s Syracuse shop. Not necessarily because it's my favorite, but simply because it is the ONLY option in the Syracuse area. It's ridiculous, but yes, check em out...
