I've been called weird for liking and watching every stand up special on netflix. Anyone else love stand up?

#1 today for me is Chris D'elia.

#1 all time is a little tougher: looking at Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams.

I dont really like stand up. Something about a guy on a stage rattling off pre rehearsed lines isnt verry funny to me

Dunno if I have a favorite but, love Mitch fatel, Ron white, Jarrod Carmichael (might have been the crowd) Jim jeffries, and Amy shcumer

Favorite- Chris Farley

Least favorite- Kevin Hart, his acting/comedy consists of making funny faces and weird noises.

Tom segura for sure. his Netflix specials made me hurt from laughing and I love his podcast.

Because of Tom Segura, I can never look at people who wear cowboy hats the same. Guy has me in tears every time I watch him.

John Oliver is pretty funny. Or maybe it's just because I find that a parrot faced man mocking America and other real world issues funny...

Its a tie between Demetri Martin and Louis CK. Both are hilarious in their own ways and I find them equally funny. Jim Gaffigans universe thing on netflix was also fucking hilarious.

George Carlin is GOAT.

Notable stand up comedians:

Jim Carrey

Bill Burr

Zach Galifanakas

Eddie Murphy

Bo Burnham

John Mulaney

Jim Gaffigan

Louis CK

Anthony Jeselnik

Pretty much just not Kevin Hart

Happy no one has said Amy Schumer yet. Lady makes me want to put my head through a wall.

I kinda really hate her tbh. She's unfunny and steals all her jokes...

I'd have to say Louie C.K.

Use to think Daniel Tosh was hilarious now I think he's pretty meh.

Dane Cook and Kevin Hart suck.

Your all wrong... Dave Chappelle still the greatest. Also Seinfeld, and LARRY FUCKING DAVID.

I will say though I do keep up with Last Week Tonight, and I like Eric Andre. As childish and stupid as it is, he's really onto something with his improv.

Top 3 worst Comedians...

-Kevin Hart

-Chris D'elia

-Amy Schumer

its interesting you mentioned that people have called you weird for liking stand up specials on Netflix. and anyone saying they just cant get into prerehearsed material like standup are just lying to themselves because what else would you call live music performances?

Eric Andre trolling the Republican convention was fucking ridiculous.

Yes it was. I wish they wouldn't have gotten their passes revoked to the DNC, that could of been gold!

My favorite aspect is that some of it may not be rehearsed, saw D'elia live and I know some of his stuff was just off the cuff. Also movies like This is the End, or shows like The Office where there is a ton of ad-libing/improv I really enjoy.

I would definitely rather go see a big comedian in a small venue than a big musician in a small venue. I hate big arenas for both, like Kevin Hart came here and did the Basketball arena which is just dumb to me. Why would I pay $40 to set in the upper deck on the far left hand of the stage. And why would I even consider paying over $100 to sit on the court in shitty pull out seats? Ridiculous.
