I've created many great friendships through this website. The best is when people ask how we met. Especially at the Canadian border for IF3...had peoples from CA and MN with us.
 
haha omg that was hilarious. also, taking pictures of some weirdo from PA that drank too much and hid and puked behind is truck followed by passing out in his tent way too early.
 
Dude collecting firewood is not hiding, it's what any good camper does. I wouldn't have been so bombed had you not been making up beer pong rules on the fly. And I Fuckin told you guys I was just going into my tent to find my headlamp, how the fuck was I supposed to know there was a black hole/space vortex that was gonna trap me in the tent all night. ahhhh good times
 
This describes almost every NSer I've met here under the age of 18: socially awkward, but very nice, and starry eyed at any 'pro' who they happen to see skiing at the mountain. no interest in aspects of life outside of skiing. the members that I choose to spend my time with offline are people I've worked with, slept with, or skied with.

I find that once NSers get into college that's when you see the 'true skier' inside come out because the financial support for recreational sports goes out the window...there are a lot of things just as fun as skiing that I'm finding I can do without having to pay $800 per year + gas + gear when I break mine. I still ski but I find that the 'kids' here tell me "ooooh man you're ruining the lifestyle bro wtf yo follow ur dreammmmms..." lol ya just gotta laugh sometimes.
 
in breck i always see kids with ns shit on and i always yell whats your ns name, and they always get taken aback from it. i wait like 5 secs then say too late and ski away.
 
ahahahahaha - you've gotta do what you gotta do when you're against a Canadian with an arm the length of football field.
 
I recently found out that a bunch of kids from my highschool are NS's. Bunch o seniors have NS stickers on their cars.

I also throw around the Chad's gap call at Sunday River.. get some interesting replys.
 
Nah bro, current plan is stowe saturday and stratton sunday with phil, sean, and aryn. we'll see if i have tennis though. Which weekend are you talking about?
 
saw some kid at my local hill rocking some NS stickers. I yelled yeah NS as I walked past him, and he yelled yeah back. it was rad
 
Yeah Stowe is free, all of these rail jams are free. They're a lot of fun. I've been to the Stowe one for the last two years and I always have a good time. I've never been to the Stratton one, or Mtsnow one but I'm assuming they're similar.
 
One of this one's room mates.
He's pretty cool I guess. The night we met in person we convinced a drunk guy on the train that we met through an online dating site despite our not having said more than 5 words to each other. The one time he tried to pull the 'make me a sandwich bitch' line he got guilted into making me dinner.
Other than that Obsessedwski called me Crazy Paige when he was 13 and we were in the same group for our school's Whistler trip.
 
I met Roadrashskier on here, he's a french Canadien and was coming to Belgium so i pm'd him that he should bring his boots and try indoor skiing, so we hooked up and had a cool indoor session on the airbag :)
also alot of the belgian and dutch freeskiers are on here, but i basically knew them in person before i knew they were on NS....
 
False, I saw a kid in whistler in full first drop with jiberish underneath riding afterbangs, and when I asked him if he was on ns he had no clue what I was talking about. Apparently not even all typical nsers are on ns
 
I've met a ton up at Montana State, pretty tight with BootySpunk, not_a_gangster and Mama. Went skiing with ElGato and have met some randoms up skiing but I don't remember their usernames. I also have a huge list of people to meet now that I'm back in CO.
 
Saw a kid at smuggs with the retro NS sticker on his helmet. I chad's gap called him out and he answered "wuuuuut?" Fail.
I was talking about snowboarding on xbox live and said something about gapers and the kid ' gapped me.
I met zzzskizzz on tinychat. He then proceeded to drive to my house from newyork and we got dairy queen and went to a rail jam. Then we went to the town green for a festival thing and he started hitting on some freshmen I told him were seniors. Later he fingered a chick on the couch next to me. needless to say, that man get the vagine.
