You know your riding east coast when..

hahaha win right there. when your hill is about the width of a downhill course, but only 300 ft of vertical
and when the hill is white and everything for a couple miles is brown

There are 3 trees per square meter

Your white helmet is covered in brown marks from low branches

10cm of snow is a sick day

Gawdammit, I want to move to BC

you start seeing grass patches in common stopping areas in the middle of february...

this winter has sucked for new england after the first month of the season

theres a canadian east coast there to eh? and when you find yourself dodging dirt patches in mid february

most of the gapers being in the park and shit is true for the west as well.. but this thread makes me laugh, this year sucks for where i live it seems like the east coast, my mountain just got a good size jump up..

a week or two ago i was on the lift with a ski patroller who was BRAGGING about pulling some poor kids pass for doing an invert, it was the happiest day of that guys life. ive never seen anyone so fucking stoked. i wanted to fucking puke. seriously, it actually emotionally disturbed me hearing this guy.

he was all like "he had the greatest look on his face! like a dog after you throw it outside y'know!?"

the other patroller on the lift was even surprised.

i told him that it was a dick move and he said "well maybe he shouldnt be breakin the rules should he!? hah!"

fuck that has nothing to do with this thread.

wait. yes it does.

you know your riding the east coast when the ski patrollers at your 1,100foot vertical mountain take their job too god damn seriously.

did my first few at pats peak 4 weeks ago. it was gross, bad landing, waving arms.

i got a free soda and high fives from the park crew.

ive only skied the east coast like 10 times.. and i can say this.

when you eat shit on a jump and you slide and you stop at the lip of the next jump!.

but for real i had and EPIC day at mad river.. 36 inch of fresh. FUCKIN NUTZO

I was talking with a buddy about how our mountain, Bristol, is no were near 1,200ft like they claim it to be. And my boss chimes in that 20 years ago they said it was only 900ft. They're known for screwing people over and they're a bunch of pricks.

So I guess, when your mountain grows 300ft in 20 years to make it the highest vertical between the Adirondacks and the Rockies.

When in March, you can ski from the top to the bottom without touching snow once, only mud and rocks and grass. No claim. Last year at Bristol on one of the race team infested runs, Comet. Half of the run is on film.

i can back this guy up, ive gone top to bottom of our home mountain on grass.

you take comet , then make sure to keep your speed up, and go into sunset way over on the far left side, i think you could do it comet/rocket, but theres wwaayyy more rocks on rocket, and sunset is almost totally rock free. you can even carve and do butters on the grass if its rained pretty recently.

Im from LI. it has its share of bro's and jappy bitches sure, but its def a good place to live. im from patchogue and there is a great music scene & brewery there and you cant beat being 15 mins from a beach no matter where you are. no i dont hang out in the hamptons.

two morrow's has some banging burgers.

I go to Once and for All sometimes when i go back out there if not the Blue Point Brewery in the summer.

Patchogue can be a happening little town in the summer. ive spent a lot of time at the brewery and they do all kinds of events during the summer that are usually drunken fun.

And speaking of riding the east coast, VT is getting dumped on and im sitting in my shitty little office getting texts from my friends who are on the mountain. i should of called in snow.
