Another phone help thread i really need my phone for friday.it ran out of batteries so i started charging it and turned it on while it was charging and now the light just goes red but the screen is black when i try to turn it on. I know its a long shot but doesnt anyone know anything i could try/do?

its a really old samsung flip phone with no screen on the front im not exactly sure what model .
 
i think i had that phone. Maybe everyone did. But, when the light was red it didnt have enough battery to power on. Can you plug it into your charger until the light turns green?
 
when you say the screen is just black - is it backlit in any way, or is it black like its turned off? if it has some sort of back light but the screen is blank, it's probably going to need to be replaced. If it isn't even getting any back light at all it could be that the strip that runs from the main board thru the flip and into the screen is broken or unplugged. depending on how technologically savy you are you can try and take the phone apart and look...should be four screws on the back. undo those and then pull the back plate off. once that's off you should be able to see the plug/wire at the top of the board on the back of the phone...make sure that it is secured and there are no tears in the wire.
 
ya its backlit and when you turn it on theres a little light on the side that goes green which is supposed to happen and it does this on of off the charger i guess its just the screen isnt working. Anyway thanks for the help
