Soo, i finally got on the whole "Yik Yak" app thing, and I wanted to see what you guyses thought about the whole shebang.

For those of you who dont know, its basically an anonomous message board that uses your location and shows you yaks around you. Yaks are like messages ( I may have made up that terminology)

SOOO basically the yak in my area (Frostburg, mid/small college town) is all like greek shit, who is hot in DZ, Megan needs to stop suking dix in bathrooms at parties, that kind of stuff, mixed with some slight racism, and i was wondering what the posts are like in your area / how frequent. Posts are about 1 per minute here, maybe a little less.

I think it's fun. At my college it's mostly people bitching about the WiFi, complaining about school, some really horny kids, reposted jokes from twitter/tumblr/reddit, and some really entertaining stuff. It can lead to bad group think, though, because people just tend to agree with everyone else and different opinions are voted down. It's worth a download.

I just downloaded the app to see what everybody is talking about... Most of the yaks are about hott chicks at the local community college. I did get a degree from there and damn now I miss seeing all of those hott chicks in spandex. I am happy with my job though!

You can see posts anywhere within a 5 mile radius of where it was posted. You can peek and see what was posted at different schools, but you can't upvote or post or anything
