Yet another will i have enough speed thread

Will I have enough speed from these stairs for a 18" high box if I use plastic lattice (below) or will I need a drop in on top? I really don't wanna have a drop in because my mom says I have to tae it down when I'm not using it because it would block the lake view.

hm, maybe i kind of doubt it though. i'm sure you could figure something out that wouldn't require a full drop in but would give you a little more speed, i also don't know how fast that stuff slides compared to turf or pvc rollers, you plan on laying plywood over the stairs, and then putting the plastic stuff over it right?
 
I was kinda wondering how much stuff to buy for the trip to the hardware store(I have to borrow a trauck) but I'll just buy lots extra and build some rails if i don't need it or drop ins for my winter setup.
 
if that lattice stuff slides well i think you'll have enough speed
just try laying it down and see how much speed you can get into the grass and then you'll know
