Well, there are definitely technical issues that have already been addressed. One thing that wasn't addressed was the interview. I get what you were angling at, with him looking off camera, but when the interviewer (you), asks the question that is clearly coming from directly behind the camera (because your voice is much more vibrant) then there is no reason for him to be looking off camera. It makes the interview look staged and unnatural. Music… As the producer, you tell the kid to scratch if his song choice does not fit. A. the SHM song you used, very popular and trendy, is way too big of a scope you are aiming for. You simply don't have the cinematics that support such a climatic/rhythmic song. B. Because the footage is not supporting the song, it makes the whole thing look comical, as if you are taking this too seriously. Which brings me to my final point, I get that this is supposed to be a serious short, with serious vibes, but because the poppy music is being played to weak subject matter, it makes it comical. What makes it all the more comical is the interviewee. This is nothing you can fix, and something you'll definitely have to deal with again, but the kid is trying to humble himself when he is clearly very full of himself for what he does. The monologue about the hard trails of his running, the mainstream music and the unnatural interview dragged this piece down far beyond the technical errors. Sorry if this sounded all too douchey, but it's just my opinion. I think you can definitely improve, and the ground work is there. Keep plugging away and producing, and your shit will reach another level.
