For all those mobbin to Mt Snow this year, looks like stuffs finally gettin goin.

holy shit, im headed back to vt in about 9 hours. cant wait to see some snow up there.

im hoping some of that is natural and there is enough on my campus to set something up...
 
most of the mountains in VT picked up a couple inches of snow 2 nights ago. i also heard that mount mansfield got 18 inches at the top.

so pumped for winter.
 
they were still blowing snow at 10am this morning. stoakked hopefully by the weekend there is a good base around it
 
Mount Snow not opening until Sunday now. im sure that will be cancelled by the time the weekend gets here too. this weather fuckin blows donkey dick.
 
seriously? with the rain it will be bad. they will make snow thurs night and friday and friday night. and then groom all day saturday and open sunday. they wont be able to make enough snow thursday to groom and be ready for saturday. duh
 
heres what mount snow said in their most recent email:

Here’s a little background on how we came up with this strategy. To date we have only had six hours to make snow at the base of the mountain. With rain in the forecast for tomorrow and this combined together it would be impossible to put together what we consider a high quality experience for Saturday. Now Friday and Saturday are looking good for making snow (at least with current forecasts), so we are going to blast the lower section of the mountain to get it up to speed with what we have up top and give you one heck of a high quality opening for those first turns of the season.

 
i heard the same but they are probably going to get the same rain as Mt Snow and be in the same boat. it hurts to say that but its probably whats going to happen.
 
I really, really just hope that they open Sunday, if they do that then I will be one happy motherfucker!!!!
 
i will be sooo happy too...although i cant go becuase of a school fieldtrip

but temps are looking sooo good next week, mt snow will be so kick ass by next weekend i bet
 
not to mention the 50 degree weather. with friday and saturday to prep they should be good to go!
 


Opening Update

Recent weather has left us behind where we hoped to be at this point. Rain on Thursday and warm temps on Friday are going to make it difficult to have top to bottom skiing on Sunday. We will make the final call tomorrow morning so please check back for updates.

If I can't hit up mt snow this sunday I will break down crying

Its lookin good, looks like snow or easily cold enough to blow every day this week. So mad that when it will finally have a breakout weekend it will be the weekend before finals. Break should be awesome though.

Parks are gonna open for saturday right? I'm having nightmares that they will stay closed until sunday.
