that is all.

goddamn Dartmouth..... i could go on a full ride.. but i don't want to. 1 im not a good student and i would not use it to its full potential. 2 Hanover is not the coolest place last time i checked.
oh yeah.. yachting rules...

grandpa Noyes was head track coach for 30 years... half my family went there..the family would pay for some and the Noyes Scholarship fund would cover the rest... not living though.. but thats the smallest on the list.... in the end ..im not ivy league and i don't try to be even though most of my family is. but props to you man..

There is no Noyes Scholarship here, buddy. And your family paying for some does not equal full ride.

It's a solid school, but not as intellectual as I expected. Which is probably a blessing.

wow, i google search yachting and this is the first image to come up

would be so relaxing. i'm not really one who would enjoy travelling for a long period of time or hit the open ocean or anything like that, but if you could have like a caribbean style vacation on one of these bad boys, man that would be an awesome time. definitely something that's on my bucket list..

I would like to make it known that, even though a solid 1/3 of the posts in this thread are mine, I am concurrently surprised and impressed with NS' response to the notion of "Yachting."

Also, for reference, the painting in OP is of the yacht America, whose victory over the English set the stage for more than 100 years of American supremacy in yacht racing.

i dont know much about yachting, but im officially starting a boat gang this summer. we will get leather type 3 life jackets and tatoos and just drive around and look mean.

sorry to break it to you there is a Elliot Noyes Scholarship.,.. its for track kids.. and since he worked there or so long i can get on it......... and if you wanted intellectualness .. you should have gone to brown or cornell !im not one to hate.. just im not a school guy.. the way god made me .

There may used to have been an Elliot Noyes scholarship. Dartmouth's policy, in line with Ivy League regulations, is that we do not award financial aid to athletes unless they demonstrate financial need. And every student at Dartmouth is guaranteed full aid to cover what he needs. So if you would have needed a full ride to attend Dartmouth, you would have gotten it, but not because you're special.
