Xgames women

maggie voison needs to pick up her rail game. if she was actually able to pull off that second to last jump she would have won.

the judges look at the entire run and how it's put together. not just the big tricks. to win, a competitor needs rails and jumps; if all they have is jumps, go compete in big air. slopestyle is a full run put together from top to bottom. kaya had the best put together run...maggie was given second because the judges were obviously awarding progression because her rails weren't top notch...kim took third and i'm stoked for her.

the judges saw what they saw. these are the same judges that judged the men and both halfpipe comps.

the thing to take away from this is that Canada placed in 3 of the top 4 spots in the last big comp before Sochi!

ok so are we just ignoring the fact that Maggie was the ONLY girl to spin onto the top down bar? i mean sure her run didn't have 3 back 270s out all the same direction like Kaya's so i guess it wasn't pushing the level on rails… Kaya's rails were not impressive. Maggie's 270 onto the top rail was harder than all of Kaya's rails put together.

I think XGames should have a women's big air. Think about it, all of the progression in men's skiing jumps has started in big air and then progressed over to slope. If they gave women the same opportunity to try dubs without a limited run format, I'm sure we would start seeing more technical jump tricks from women. Just look at Nine Queens, a primarily jump focused contest where multiple doubles were thrown, including a dub 12.

I always say that women's skiing is a joke, but they're all probably better than me haha.

Oh yeah and thread isn't complete without pics
