maggie voison needs to pick up her rail game. if she was actually able to pull off that second to last jump she would have won.
the judges look at the entire run and how it's put together. not just the big tricks. to win, a competitor needs rails and jumps; if all they have is jumps, go compete in big air. slopestyle is a full run put together from top to bottom. kaya had the best put together run...maggie was given second because the judges were obviously awarding progression because her rails weren't top notch...kim took third and i'm stoked for her.
the judges saw what they saw. these are the same judges that judged the men and both halfpipe comps.
the thing to take away from this is that Canada placed in 3 of the top 4 spots in the last big comp before Sochi!
