kaya turski doing the best trick a switch safety (little touch ) 720 come on !!!when this girls are gonna progress??

maggie voison 15 years old doing a switch 1080 and 900 and is in second place.....

i dont get it !!!

progression is coming. i think women's skiing will be a lot more interesting in a couple of years with the next generation coming up

word...maggie voison is 15 and is 10 better than turski logan herman...... cant believe herman is in team us... safety (little touch) grabs over years and years

i bet its going good places too. i mean you can't count out kelly sildaru up and coming.

bit what ever happened to that girl that threw a dub 12 last year?

that was awful judging. Had to stop watching as soon as Kaya got scored higher than Voisin. Maggies run was better than everyone else's easily.

straight up. kaya did three 540s and a 720. Voisin did two 5s, a 900, and a fucking switch 10... something turski was praised for two years ago. And the announcers kept saying kayas rail section was so technical? fuckouttahere. Props to Kim lamarre for that tails over, and voisin for a proper two on.

vosisin did a switch 1080 and 900 with style..... turski the best trick was a switch touching safety grab 720 also i cant believe herman is on team usa with those straight rails and 540 "kind of safety grab" and 720 with no grabs.... doing the same tricks every years !!! .... girls start pushing more.. they all fell safety because everybody is trowing the same tricks so they asking why we should take a risk??untill now !!! finally...its really bother me to see herman in team us

6th. Almost nobody podiums at their first X Games.

I mean it depends on how well she's been competing at other comps that season, but putting out impressive videos and locking serious comp results are totally different. Wallisch had been blowing minds for 3 years before he won a hige comp.

If Maggie Voisin didn't do 2 rails straight in a row she would've take it, her jumps were impressive. Kaya and Kim's jump weren't the best, but Kim really impressed me on those rails, and Dara Howell's run was pretty sloppy.

I was not happy with Daras score. Switch misty 9!?!?! that shit was crazy and maggie's switch ten was fucking epic.

This couldn't be anymore accurate. Pretty sure kaya has done that same jump run for a few years in a row now and always taken gold, except for when tiril took the win last season!

Sadly...most am's and really good ski bums that ride park every day would probably destroy in women's slopestyle. However, putting together a full run on a full course is tough and what pro skiers are really good at compared to your normal skier.

Progression is coming for womans, it's just slower then we are used to (with mens progression). I think womans skiing future is looking quite good with young athletes killing it.

Gotta give a shout out to Dara Howell! She is a hometown friend of mine and has been killing it.

P.S our local hill has a total vertical of 330 feet (100 meters).

Did anyone see Chloe Kim kill it in snowboard pipe? 13 year old girl. I think we will se lots of progression in both womens snowboarding and skiing over the next few years.

you guys do have to remember that 65-85 foot jumps are much, MUCH scarier than they look from your couch.

BUT a 15 year old girl doing a huge switch 10 really put into perspective how much i suck

YES I AGREE WTF! Dara's score should have been way higher, her rails were pretty dope, plus that switch misty, rodeo bow and arrow? Shoulda won.

Finally people are publicly calling out women's skiing. I don't know how the judges can justify Kaya winning when her run was pathetic not only in the fact that she was sloppy and landed on just about every knuckle but also because she has regressed from her winning run 2 years ago when she did a worse run the Maggie did today. And Gus Kenworthy couldn't be more right. The judges not rewarding Maggie for being the first female skier to do a have decent run is pathetic. Because Kaya can keep winning comps with the same pathetic run that wouldn't even score a 60 if a guy were to do it is the reason women are so far behind in the sport. The commentators even said today after Kaya did a switch 7 "That is the same trick JF Cusson did to win big air back in 1999". That means that women are 15 years behind men as far as tricks and progression go. Pretty much every year mens skiing progresses in some way at X-Games whereas women are still doing 900s a trick Sarah Burke did 10 years ago. But sadly nothing will change until the judges start looking past little flaws in runs and do recognize the P in PAVED which stands for progression.

If you look at the rails where kaya was so much better according to the judges, kaya did lip in to straight, 270 disaster and then back 2 out. Maggie was the only girl to spin onto the down RAIL whereas kaya did it into a BOX and there was more than one girl doing it.. Pathetic.

No invite.

But then again rewatch her recent comp runs on the world cup before possibly criticizing the organizers for that. This is probably why they ditched her for good and went with girls like Maggie, Dara and others instead.

Totally agree about the judging, what was going on there is beyond me to understand.

Damn gus got robbed hard swell. first ever triple in comp stomped? 4th place. First run with crazy dubs stomped to perfection? 81. I think this just ma be quite accurate:

how did kaya win that? the two runs behind her were better, and it was close with the 4th place (i'd still put kaya in 3rd though, too sloppy by dara... kim should have gotten a few more points too for that style and rails (not to mention her jumps were similar to kayas but cleaner).
