Yeah the lineup is dope and all, but damn, how you gonna leave Hornbeck out like that? He's an OG, a street legend, one of the best riders to watch do his thing and you know he wanted in. That early front swap ender should have been enough to earn him a spot on it's own.

Mike was ahead of his time, he inspired so much of what is 'cool' right now. New era seggy feat. Brogan is all time. Not gonna lie I'd have been real stoked to see him in this.

Tell me who you would have replaced to put Hornbeck in? I mean he's an absolutely next-level street skier for sure... but it's not like any of the people in there are clearly worse, no?

Me too man, Hornbeck is all time. It's tough though when you're actually on these selection committees to make these decisions. When you can only choose 6 out of in your mind what is probably 10-12 people that deserve it - and there's multiple people with different opinions - you have to make some hard calls. There's a slew of dudes out there who I think deserve this... and it was the same last year.

Pretty solid lineup if you ask me.

I would have put Hornbeck and also Tim McChesney in this year's Real Ski before Khai and Magnus. Nothing against those two, Khai's actually my favorite skier, but Hornbeck has been putting out banger street parts every year (except last year) for the past decade or so. And for McChesney, he's one of the best street skier in the world, and has been putting out insane full parts year after year for the past 5 years.

As for Khai, although he's one of the best rail skier right now, I feel like he hasn't quite left his mark in the streets yet, compared to Hornbeck and McChesney, who would have been my picks. Khai's only had two full parts, one with TSP a while ago, and one with Level 1. And in the past two Level 1 movies, while he had some good stuff in the streets, he didn't have a whole lot of footage.

Same sort of thing with Magnus, he had a banger part in Less, I don't quite remember what he had in Finito as his footage was spread out, and last year he only had shots in the Russia segment with Level 1.

I'm not saying that these two don't deserve it, not at all. They're "up and comers" and I'm sure they'll fuck shit up with their parts. It's just that IMO, guys like Hornbeck and McChesney have been in the game longer, and they've consistently been putting out full parts, and it would have been their chance right now to take part in Real Ski, especially for Hornbeck.

Given the format, why limit it to 6 dudes anyway? What do ESPN, the viewers or the skiers lose by letting 10 or 12 or more

wallisch mayyyy have only made it because of hes a big name but theres a bunch of skiers you could throw in that list along with hornbeck who coulda made it. so dope they gave magnus a spot his edit is gonna be shwaego

Magnus is one of my fav's foresure but I think that he's probably hitting a sort of climax at a early stage in his career (same with khai)

Also I think its time for Tom to pass on the torch, the people's choice award should not warrant a spot in my opinion.

It's a choice made by ESPN and no one else. Basically "Real *insert sport*" contests are made to be a TV show now, everything is based on budgets that go into that TV show. I would love to see more athletes in the future, maybe we will, but we're working with what we got for now. I'm stoked about the list and am looking forward to the videos (also dreading it).

Buddy you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into.

Judging this last year was the single hardest thing I have ever been a part of.

I'm not saying Tom dosen't kill it, and maybe pass on the torch would be the wrong way of saying it. But it seems more of a marketing ploy to me and would rather see Hornbeck/ SeanyJ/Boberg take a crack at it.
