to be able to play movies from my 320gig harddrive on my xbox, apparently i need to format it or something. (i googled, dont really understand what to do... ya noob i know cool) so how do i get it formatted correctly to work with my xbox- from my mac?
 
lol ok to be able to watch movies from my portable HD on my xbox, i have to format it. How do i format it- with my mac (not windows) computer
 
Probably just partition a good hunk just for movies. I didn't need to do that though. I have a WD MyPassport Elite and all i had to do was plug it into the x-box, and connect to xbox live to get the update I needed to play off of it. *Word of warning, don't leave your harddrive plugged in while not in use, it will keep the x-box running and eventually cause it to overheat*
 
To format a hard drive, plug it in, open disk utility, and select the HD you want, and Partition it however you want. I still don't really know why you would need to do that though.
