call it contraversial, but i think having speed difficulty issues is a good thing. last year sammy colby and the man candide had no probs with speed cos they stomped the shit outta all their jumps, same with shaun white and andreas wiig in the snowboarding. if you wash out a little on a trick, its game over for you whether can keep your speed or not. making the course demand inch perfect runs, means there will be less discrepancy/people feeling robbed when the scores come out. if simon was to pull out a sick run this year, but slightly sketch one of his landings, people will say simon got robbed, again, whereas last year, if you sketch a landing, then you have to skip a jump to get speed for the next. run over, nul points. i think the slope course should reward the flawless, and punish the sketchy.
