X Games Slope Style

I know its been talked about before, but i think it's an interesting move from Smith to Giro for Andreas..SMith was a dope company for him

Thanks Jon for all the updates. Looks like a really flowy course really nice looking. But Ill say it again, rail skiing is a big part of skiing and the rails could definitely be better.

cmon jon, u said it yourself, ur gonna complain until its perfect so can you pleeeaaase complain for some more rails?!?

besides that tho it looks sick, cant wait for ss

Looks like a pretty shitty course. The jumps are prime and huge. But the rails look like complete shit. I mean boxes. The first battleship is pretty dope nice take off, real mellow, gap-able top, and long down. But then the next up box looks so friggin gay. Its just like a big awkward stub. Maybe some snowboarders will flip out but for skiers its gunna launch really awkard and since its a box its hard to spin out of. I think people might just bonk as they air over or just air over. But then the jumps are big and amaxing and perfectly groomed. But they are also all very similar in shape and size and there are like no options and no rail jump rail jump back to back thing.

I think that the rails are gunna be ignored by the judges. Rail masters like Gagnier and Ahmet (hes in it) don't get any cred for hard tricks and don't have the rails to show their true skill. Meanwhile, acrobats like jon olsson have all the room to show case their front flip - misty with no grab. And then the judges will give it to them in the end.

Seriosly I want a long ass urban RAIL! And I also want someone to just switch zero the jumps WITH A GRAB! and skip one to hand drag the table.

But yea, I can't wait to see this.

call it contraversial, but i think having speed difficulty issues is a good thing. last year sammy colby and the man candide had no probs with speed cos they stomped the shit outta all their jumps, same with shaun white and andreas wiig in the snowboarding. if you wash out a little on a trick, its game over for you whether can keep your speed or not. making the course demand inch perfect runs, means there will be less discrepancy/people feeling robbed when the scores come out. if simon was to pull out a sick run this year, but slightly sketch one of his landings, people will say simon got robbed, again, whereas last year, if you sketch a landing, then you have to skip a jump to get speed for the next. run over, nul points. i think the slope course should reward the flawless, and punish the sketchy.
