Wow... looks like Candide tied Field for the last spot but he lost because he fell on his first run. That's really lame. I wish they'd just put in 11 finals spots just so people can see Candide ski pipe.

Apparently, Gagnier subbed in for Vanular when he broke his wrist in the qualifiers. Too bad for Corey, but it will be fun to see Gagnier in Pipe.

Finally, X recognizing skill over balls... I am still bitter about Simon winning the last two years just because he goes huge. I would rather see a 10 in the pipe with varied tricks than three big fives...

I am not even a huge Tanner fan, but I will be glad if he wins
 
Simon has two dope picks of him getting his CDL on on the freeskier page I linked... I can't imagine trying that in the pipe!
 
Could someone who saw the prelims live let everyone know what happened with all the low scores? Dorey got a 51, Bibby got a couple scores in the 50s...

dude...amplitude is skill, the most important skill in the pipe, its not "just balls", if it were everyone would have thrown down 20' airs last night on their 3rd run cause they had nothing to lose...it takes a ton of skill to boost 20' out and make it bakc in without decking or crashing what are you retarded...

what i was hoping owuld happen this year is candide's amplitude would challenge dumont to throw better tricks and challenge tanner to FINALLY BOOST HIGHER
 
Uh... Bibby has a fucking switch 9! Seriously, how does that not get you in. I agree though, I assume Dorey was tossing flatspins and they weren't hucked hard enough or something.
 
sorry, I meant they didn't do any sw. 10s. I heard M. Douglas practicing COmmentary with Uncle E and they kapt saying how there would be no one on the podium if they didn't throw a sw. 10.
