Www.aspenskiandboard.com, just recommending a great store...

Just a heads up on another great online shop for prices and customer service. I've been searching around for the Scratch FS WRS for the last couple of weeks and wasn't able to find them below $350 (in 181's) on any of the sites that are usually recommended here (Evogear sold out a couple months ago).

While searching google, I came across www.aspenskiandboard.com and saw them for $320...when I came back to ns.com to research the company, I only found one thread:

https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/311975/

this seemed to be a decent pitch for them, so I e-mailed them letting them know I was excited to find the skis in my size and price, but I needed to pay through paypal. They responded quickly and let me know that they have no problem sending me a paypal invoice, which was great.

Not only did they accept paypal, but:

* They include free ground shipping to the US

* Since I bought my bindings there, they are mounting them and setting up the skis for free (at -2cm from true center).

* They have written me a guarantee that if the bindings are not in the correct position, they can be returned to be corrected for full refund or a remount on a new pair of skis

Sorry about the sales pitch, but I know that a thread pops up (I made two of them myself in the beginning of my search) asking for reliable shops - and these guys should definitely be included.

Looks like a pretty legit store, but I don't like the site layout... it's hard to get around, not very good looking.

Yea, that was the same comment left in the older thread I linked to. I mentioned to them that they should definately look into updating their site's appearance/navigation - as first impression counts a lot when someone's looking to buy something expensive, like skis, online.

I figured, for now, I could let people know that their website is not a great representation of their store or service, so make sure you check them out while shopping around. One other big selling point is that they price match any legitimate stores (no ebay).

Also, if there's something you're looking for, send them an e-mail and they will check their store's system to see if they have it (even if it's no on the site) - I think this is mostly for 07/08 stuff. They were very open to suggestions and passed everything I said along to their web designer, so perhaps in the future they'll improve.

I think they just didn't realize how important online business can be - or maybe they just developed the site a while back and didn't think they needed to change. We'll see what comes from them in the future. The more (decent) stores we have available online, the better for us.

yeah, their service is so legit. the ski tech guy called before mounting and reccomended a better mounting point. the y seem like the actually care!!!!! i would definitely reccomend this place. super legit.

yea, this store is great, i actually have a pair of crowbars coming from there right now. Great service and very knowledgable staff.
