which is why i didnt have any fun this year, and only filmed park, pipe, and urban....just so everyone will think im the best skier.
 
Not to be a dick But it seems like your always saying things that help people figure out that your andy mahre. If I were pro I wouldnt bring attention to myself its one thing if you have a couple sponsors but im just sayying.
 
my former favorite pro skier. actually hes still up there. But then I figure out theres a lot of people with no pole steeze like myself.
 
man....not to be a dick....but i dont say things to make people figure out who i am....i say them because i am who i am. i was the 532nd person to join this site. i was andy mahre then, and im andy mahre now. who really gives a shit? and yes, since joining ive become a pro. does that mean i dont have the same right to state my opinion as everyone else? you should be stoked i give input. all everyone does is talk shit about pros. so i state my opinion of things that ive seen or i know, as opposed to someone stating their opinion based off of some little video clips they saw. and i dont want to cowardly state my opinion. i could very easily hide behind some screen name, but then its not me...its some random name. maybe i should have sent this to you privately? but i really dont give a shit. everyone on this site could hate me, and i will still ski every fucking day. thats why im on this site...because i ski, and have some knowledge about the industry...i was born and raised that way. i cant help it... ya...not trying to be a dick...but i want to state my opinion too.
 
Kye is sick and he is just going to get better every year. big deal if he flailed on a couple shots in a teaser. Kye can ski anywhere park, pipe, big mountain and urban. I love how you little fucks have a few good tricks in the park but probably cant ski anything else think you have the right to talk shit. NEWSFLASH Kye will be around for years and years to come having FUN skiing and getting payed for it while you sit around being jelous and hating like a miserable old lady. so anyone who talked down on Kye if you dont know it or are in denial you are a punk ass bitch. I couldnt imagine being soo fucking stupid as to start a thred saying Kye Peterson sucks at skiing. Take my adive and write this down on a piece of paper and put it in your pocket because I am sure you wont remember my advice because you are a dumb ass GET A FUCKING CLUE!
 
look dude your segment in war was one of my favorite of the year, and i'd just hate to see you ruin a sick segment like that by not holding poles in your hands.

you're stupid good at skiing, i just wish you could be equally impressive in expressing opinions on here without sounding like a dick.

i couldnt care less if you ski without poles half the winter, just do me a favor and when johnny points the 16 at you, hold poles in your hand to make sure your segment comes out looking sick. it just looks goofy without them
 
no, dumb shit. its not goofy, its different. its people taking the sport where THEY want to take it, hence the term FREESKIING. he's doing it the way he finds comfy and fun, so go fuck yourself. if you can get into a movie, you can do your segment whatever way you want to do it. till then, piss off, and stick your poles up your ass.

why do you think people make fun of freeskiing in the first place? because its goofy, we run around in pants around our knees throwing ourselves off jumps. istn that goofy? no, its different. again, piss off, do your own thing, and let others do theirs.

Andy is probably the one person who shouldn't be using poles. It would be a waste of talent. Its so natural looking on him. Are you so ignorant that you can't stand to see another person hold nothing when skiing?
 
exactly^, why care what other ppl are doing, just worry about yourself. wheather he uses poles or not doesnt affect whatanyone else is doing so move on.

and as for andy sounding like a dick...get real man. he added a hint of sarcasm in response to another users comment while getting his point across. his point being that it is rediculous to think that a pro skiers main motive in filming and skiing in general is to satisfy the wants and needs of potential ski movie consumers....ie those who watch movie trailers. Andy, just like any one of us is going out there, doing what he loves and having fun doing it. if they werent out there to have fun than i am sure they would wasting their time.

and i doubt you'll be dissapointed with his "work"(aka having fun) from this season even though he spent most of it injured. unless of course you still cant handle the sarcasm and you expect to see him a.) not having fun, and b.) skiing lots of park, pipe, and urban.

hahaha calm down dude. i already clearly stated that i couldnt care less if he skied without poles the entire year as long as he used them on film.

on a completely innocent, curious note, i have some questions. if you cant answer them without calling me a dumb shit dont bother.

1) what are the upsides of no poles?

2) it seems urban, behind in the BC, would be the top place you would NEED poles for speed and shit, seems like a weird place for kye to drop them.

3) andy did you film with poles this year?
 
thats my point exactly! why would he use them in film, as the point of film is to show the skier having fun!!

1) you dont need bloody poles, you can always have a car push you in, arm catapult. Don't be so reliant on two steels sticks.

2) no, wrong, wrong, and wrong...do you ever see snowboarders with poles?

dude poles help so much when you have no drop in ramp for urbans

at your resort, do you ever see skiers having trouble on the flats like snowboarders? no because we have poles and we can skate
 
The only reason we even know who Kye Peterson is is because his dad was such a legend.. there are so many kids out there with more talent than him, Brenden Kelly for example but he gets all the exposure because his dad was a big deal. Plus he really can't pull no poles off without flailing so please someone buy that kid some poles.

yes, there is, it fucking annoys the living shit out of me when people try to bash on other people's style, because as ive said, and i will say again, newschool skiing is about doing what YOU want to do, and having fun. why the fuck should andy have to use poles just because you want him to? are you his manager? are YOU personally paying him to ski? no!

upsides? its fun, you dont have to worry about poleplants, and you can do full five finger grabs.
 
if you get this worked up over a silly argument about skiing on the INTERNET, i'd hate to see how you react to real problems man. i dont remember instructing andy to use poles, all im saying is he looks a shitload better with them and most look goofy without them.

Personally i think he looks very flaily without poles. If we wasnt so flaily he would look alot better, no poles or poles.
