For next year there will be a scratch fs which uses the THC core which rossi uses in its snowboards and there will be a regular scratch with a wood core that is desighned as a pricepoint to make the ski cheaper to buy so more people can afford it seeing how THC is expensive.

That is the regular scratch and has a wooden core thats why it looks differnt.

The fs has a grey/silvish topsheet with a neon yellow.

Hey yah, it's so wierd, i'm looking to buys some Scratch FS twins, and I was looking at em on ebay before I came here. I was considering buying them...not sure tho...

 
Its not the chicks ski.

Its an econo version of the ski to make it more affordable.

Remember when it was about pro model skis and there was also the reg version ie. Concept and concept pro (the Candide pro).

Same thing the scratch fs is like the pro model version with all the bells and whistles. (fully loaded)

The other is just the plain reg. version without the bellsm and whistles. (the stripped version)

No THC Core, No rubbery topsheet, No rubberizesd tip and tail.

I hope this clarifies it and puts the issue to rest.

the scratch eco does have a rubber top sheet, not the shiny topsheet like on the very first fs. it is also the lightest fucking twintip ever. i put a pair of 174s on my feet and they felt like skiboards which means theyd be fuckin sweet for spinnin.

I have no idea, maybe a super light wood core balances out the weight of the rubber. but i swear thee things felt like 3/4- 1/2 the weight of my lines and i thought they were a light ski now heres a question, what is the big advantafe of thc over wood and what is the material anyway?

It's gay they took the naked chick off the scratch. I'm not just saying that for the obvious reason. It's also because before I saw the naked chick the design looked really cool anyway. I'm surprised they actually put the pic on in the first place though maybe they could of gotten away with it if they didn't show the nipple.

THC (Triple Hybrid Core)

Its hat they use in there snowboards and it is what is in the scratch fs its a hybrid between ood and foam. The scratches come from the snowboard factory.

I just had this discussion with some people and the rep for rossi.

Second i have the 03 04 rossi brochure that shops get in my hand. 03/04 Dealer Portfolio

Heres what it says

There are 4 Models 2 use THC and 2 use WOOD

1)Scratch BC THC core Rubber topsheetBackcountry/big mtn ski.

2)Scratch FS THC core Rubber topsheet Freestyle/park ski.

3)Scratch Wood Core Regular topsheet ('its got the look and attitude of its big brother. An excellent value.') Freestyle/park ski econo price, Same dimentions as scratch fs 110/80/103 Size 168,174,180.

4) Sratch pro teen Wood Core Rubber topsheet Freestyle /park ski same sidecut 110/80/103 but in smaller sizes 148,158 ('for the younger skier who wants to look like a pro.') This is the kids/chick ski and it has the same look and topsheet as scratch fs.

Thats the Deal for the 03/04 skis.

The ski in the picture is the scratch.

p.s. There is also a scratch mogul which has intergral dualtec structure and regular topsheet and sidecut of 99/66/87 and comes in 168,178.
