i dont think you are gonna really need shin guards and my ski team gave people hemmets who didnt have them. I think I might have some pole guards though.

yeah u dont need shin guards at all. I never used them as long as u are forward on your skis wen you're going down you will only really need hand guards. ur hands will take most of the force and your shins wont hurt at all. get full hand guards when you do though b.c ive seen people get stripped of their poles half way doen a race with the half guards and that must suck
