WTB: ILLADELPH BEAKER

ha ok so i'll get some chinese piece of shit? if you've ever ripped a roor or illadleph you can definitely feel the difference.
 
He was saying go to your local glass blower and buy something completely unique or custom that is the same quality as a illadelph, just without the price tag
 
This. I don't have any chinese glass but I also don't buy the name brand stuff that has a huge price tag just for the name. There is nice stuff thats high quality by local glassmakers. I got an elev8 which is made locally in the city I am from and it rips and was way more reasonably priced even though it is the same high quality glass other companies use.... It isnt like the only choices are illadelph of chinese glass... there is a whole world of other products which in my mind are better if you would take 2 seconds to do a little research rather than jump on the brand name bandwagon you might realize that
 
Ya but illadelph still makes the best beaker out there. all shops i've been to make them like roor or all other brands. the differeance, if you knew anything about glass at all, is the alignment of the downstem. even though its a beaker it's still centered. Also illadelph, and roor, are made upon the idea of a perfect piece and if i go to another brand or local the quality isn't there, still nice but i'm looking for perfect. So fuck off since you don't know shit about glass.
 
I would argue that glass blowers make more perfect pieces. Big brands are popular and know they will have business, so they can start to it corners. Local blowers have to compete with this, so they have to reach perfection. Also support somebody else in your community

I know my shit from experience and trust me local glass blowers aren't big names cause their pieces are inconsistent or lacking in certain areas. look at luke wilson he started as a local glass blower and then turned big cause his stuff is prefect. I've met people who work at roor, iladelph and david goldstein. All say how the company is built upon consistency and all said they become way better blowers than when they were local. So please go grab your shit local piece that you consider amazing and fuck off. Next you're probably gonna say every straight tube is the same
 
Let me fix one thing. Local can produce just as good as glass, but it's rare and all the pieces i've looked at are not up to my standards. I have high standards and obviously you guys are just used to settling.

Cause obviously you don't know how to pick glass and probably just took the first piece you saw at the headshop. You sound like the type of fag that likes a lot of percs and ash catchers too. Also i'm a little strapped for cash right now so can't buy one new, plus i like to save a few bucks here and there. Take a picture of your piece and i'm sure i'll rip you a new one with how shitty it really is

You're argument doesn't make sense, and i contradicted myself cause i said it's possible for local to do better? been pretty consistent that local is not the way i want to go due to lack of detail i am looking for.

First vaporizers suck in my opinion, especially the whip style. Unless they are the volcano, that thing is amazing but still. You get a lot of flavor but the temp needs to be perfect or it taste like burnt popcorn. Silver surfer blows cause it doesn't have the temp meter on it, i had one of those and sold it after a month of use.

Second if you bought one of those worked artsy pieces then your tube is not evevn close to what i'm looking for. those pieces are expensive for one reason, the art, in no way are they designed for the functionality of the smoke and stacking of bubbles.

 
haha you contradicted yourself by saying there can be nice local glass and then saying that no one has nice local glass... and ya i dont have a silver surfer i am saying the shop i got it from invented that vape and has about 15 local glass blowers working for them. My piece isnt artsy its a basic functioning inline. Enjoy your used overpriced glass. I've been enjoying mine for a third the price and same quality. Your the type of person who pays for shit just because you think its cool to have the most expensive shit more $$$ does not always mean better... the sooner you learn that the sooner you will stop wasting money. I'm done giving you free bumps so good luck finding something
 
I just scooped a 21" bong for $170. Inline perc/ash catcher in the base, along with a 11 arm perc halfway up. We have done multiple blind tests between this, my buds $600 roor, and against my roomates old illadelphia. All the bongs were very similar in setup, same slides ect. And EVERYONE takes inexpensive one as the best hit! YOU ARE PAYING FOR A NAME!!!!!!!!!

Someone is trying to help you and save you possible $$ and you make a comment like that. Make ludicris comment to someone trying to offer a helping opinion, then when they get upset because you insult them, complain about how they are insulting you.

i guess in terms of beakers Illi is right up there, but you really are throwing down a good amount simply for the label... (same with most scientific glass) i've been really impressed with US Tubes; both in terms of a hit and in construction quality. Kind, Migrant and Zob also have some nice beakers out if that's strictly what you're looking for. I'd jump on Boro...you'd likely find something pretty cheap if you could find an account to use.
 
Ya i've been checking out us tubes a little and i had a zob beaker but the bottom broke by simply putting it down on a cold floor sooo been staying away from beaker zobs. Thanks for the input man! k++
