Hola newschoolers! Ok, I've been doing some regearing this season and neglected the fact that I really need some boots! I would like to think of my self as a well rounded skier that loves the trees and the east coast back country, but in reality 90% of my time I find my self lapping the park till the lifts shut down. Considering the amount of time I spend in the park, but also taking into account that I do alot of traversing and hike tuckerman's ravine at least twice a year; I have concluded that the 3 most important qualities I look for in a boot are light weight, no shin bang, and cheap. I am flat footed with a fairly short and wide shaped foot. For reference I tried some 26.5 SPKs and they fit me pretty well in the shop, however I could foresee the padding getting packed down and loosening up quite a bit. Any suggestions for me? should I buy new? old? What do you think?
