WTB Alpha 1, or Simon Dumont

I dont know what to get for a park ski that i want for 40% big jumps and 60% rails, id love to get AR6's but they only have them on back country in a 181 and im 5'10", so im in between alpha 1 because they are so damn cool and Simon Dumonts because they are so solid. Please Help!! need advice

I'm pretty sure Dumont isn't for sale, although I could be wrong. You might want to talk to his agent about that.

haha they don't know what they're talking about. Never get a ski that isn't at least as tall as you...unless you're some rail monkey who likes rollerblade tricks.

I'm 5'8" and I ride 190s just fine. I can still spin them around and everything effortlessly, and they are suuuper stable wherever I go. Long skis for the win!

it would be cool to buy Dumont, and have him ride in one of those baby back packs all day, and be like your Yoda adviser, if only that could happen.

i call b.s.

a 190 is large.

i ski a 176ar6, like it but still is a little much to move around and im 5'8".

lookin forward to the 165? afterbang(so ive been told will be a size).

long ski's are a pain in the ass to spin. good for high speeds though.

go with a 171 or around there. would be much better.

this kid's heads in the clouds. shoot.

alpha's are dope and with the taper and rocker you could ski a bigger ski like a 176 or 71. go with what you feel. demo if you can. (don't listen to this kid)

word.

No offense, but maybe you should learn how to ski?

A person who knows how to ski can use a ski of any length. And I've found that using long skis has made me a MUCH stronger skier. Do you really think 10cm is going to add so much more weight to your feet that you'll be unable to spin?

no steez

not a big deal.

190 is a big mt bomb ski.

not even close to a park ski.

at the most a 182 alpha if your 6' or taller.

ha. bring the rain coyote. word.

you are a tool.

shoot.

190 would just be more stable at high speeds.

you ski your big skis and gaper it up.

dang gurl.
