Writing a Song

I spend alot of money on my gf, but i was thinking for her birthday writing her a song cause i can sing and play pretty well. for the girls out there is that a good idea bad idea

I've done it for my girlfriends. There was plenty of appreciation for it in more ways that one. Better write some good lyrics and not some generic crap though.
