i Cant beleive Snow Time (Owns Liberty, roundtop and whitetail) actually had the gull to raise thier season pass rates for the 06/07 season. the standard pre oct 30 season pass price is $560 up from 540 last season. after such a shitty season that is just rediculous. they should be offer discounts not rate hikes.

ther are probably people out there who are a little leary about getting a season pas because of last years winter, you think the ski areas would be trying to entice skiers instead of raising prices. if i was one of those people on the fence about getting a pass, i surely wouldnt now when it is actually more expensive.

i am just glad i was wise enough to by a pass at the end of last season to mountain creek for 210 dollars and dont have to put up with the stupidity of snow time management anymore.
 
$560 is rediculous for a preseason discounted pass. blue's discounted rate is something in the low 400's for an all days pass, and blue's bigger than any of those three mountains.
 
yeah well i think if the mountain closes for 2 weeks in jan because of weather than that qualifies for a bad season. Roundtop only was open for the minimum amount of days possable to qualify under its saeson pass for a full season. i am not saying i didnt have fun when i got out but jesus it in general was a shitty season.
 
its beacuse the loacation snotime has their mtns. they are in waelther more populated areas. so they cn get away with it
 
yeah im still decicding if i want to get a season pass. i always get a night club card for our schools ski club so its only like 250 more then i usually pay but your right its alot.
 
Yeah it was one of the crappier seasons i've had up there. The weather was not too great that was for sure. Being so close to the coast we get a lot of influence from the Gulf Stream which creates alot of warm air which leads to rain instead of snow.

What gets me is that givne pass sales were way down last year, i can see why they would raise the prices let alone so much. In defense ofr RT tho, those prices are set by snowtime corporate and as even point out, are influenced by the wealthier areas of liberty and Whitetail. Worf, just think about how much fun we are going to have in November when we get the calls asking us to buy passes.
