AWFUL, went there today and had been there once befor and dont remember it being so terrible. OK OK maybe im just pissed off that the conditions were absolutely terrible. Rocks on every freaking run!! like even groomers, they day turned into a day of rock dodging! even if it was good conditions I wouldnt like it. Lots of douchiness at this mountain people running over my skis in lift lines and not saying anything, getting told to slow down and stop skiing backwards by mountain people. THE MOST TOURISTY place i have been to....we got off the little bus up from the lot "WELCOME TO CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN! are we going to have a great day of skiing today?!". Again maybe due to early conditions (even though its not even early season anymore) terrain was maybe limited? but all the runs seemed the exact same to me. I was with 3 others who thought the same. Good riddance i will stick to stevens pass.

feel free to flame if this is your home mountain, let me know when you get some snow and i might try it again but....not a happy camper today
 
i knew i didnt want to go there my dad wanted to go to crystal because it was a shorter drive...ill take the extra 45 minutes to get to stevens...

never again, unless maybe its free
 
crystal is a sick mountain if you know where to go. no need to flip out over your day cas at leased you were skiing. I have to wait one more month to ski because i have a broken collar bone
 
dude... you went on a day when they had seen no new snow for days, it was 10 degrees out and a holiday weekend. pretty much the worst time to go anywhere, especially crystal. go back on a deep day midweek and see if your opinion changes. the place does have the best terrain in wa pretty much
 
lol i was there today. wasnt that bad actually. found some sick pow stashes and there was barely any lift lines. but i do agree all the ski patrol and speed police guys are fucking annoying, you cant seem to do anything right. i got yelled at for "coming out of the trees to fast", such bs. and yes there is some amazing stuff there if you know where to go. go when there is new snow and you wont be disappointed
 
I argree with what you guys are saying and I was skiing for the terrain, guess i just couldnt find it because everywere i went was rock, went to the top of double diamond and ended up takin the skis off and walking over the rocks it was that bad, i have never done that befor in my life (probably because ive never had a new pair of skis until now)

crystal kinda sucks i think. Thats based purely on vibes ive gotten the few times i've gone. Good terrain if you know where to find it, i just kinda fucking hate skiing there.
 
YAA whistler is pretty touristy but I LOVE that place like no other, after skiing there a couple days every year, nothing else measures up
 
crystal is fine but there a better places less expensive, and with a better vibe. and jamie baril sorry bro, i guess ill just leave and go play with my charizard...and ive been on here a year
 
Crystal is super gay, and all of your dad's are gay as well. You're just lucky they were confused about their sexuality at on point and decided to fuck your ugly mom's for some reason. None of you little shits are any good at skiing and should probably just go drown yourselves in an icy river so the rest of us don't have to deal with your stupid petty bullshit.

but srsly, i dislike crystal, everytime i go there lines are soooooo long i end up just hiking random shit.

But yeah, I defend Crystal just cuz I'm a local, and it would probably be a super gay place to be unless you know what to expect & where to go to avoid douchers (even I'll admit, 90% of the people) but the variety & amount of terrain is unbelievable. Especially on a pow day.
 
I love stevens, anyone else conquer Tye Rock? not that big a deal but it should be done if you go to stevens all the people on tye mill think its so cooooool haha
 
haha the first day i did it a went off fine, then went back and went right off the very tip and when i landed my knee hit my face and almost knocked myself out, i have a picture of the first time in my profile
 
Ah, I'm slowly getting my awesome reputation back. BTW NS was built for talking shit to little kids that suck at skiing and that's exactly what I use it for... especially the washington forum.

AND ESPECIALLY any thread that's made about crystal. If any of you morons actually post a thread that isn't completely retarded you might just get a friendly and helpful response from me, but it's not looking like that's gonna happen anytime soon.
 
someone should hurry up and make an official crystal hate thread so that people don't clog the WA forum with the classic crystal is gay shit. its not the mountains fault theres rocks on the runs they can't make it snow every day. the park sucks and the patrollers are dicks so save yourself the trip and get over it. if your looking for big mountain terrain come back after sufficient snow has fallen and explore. staying on marked runs won't do you any good unless your out north.
