Would these work to dye?

i have a pair of these eg2's and i was wondering if dying them with black rit dye would work even though they are a gloss colour. I know it works with my matte white crowbars before but would it be different with these?

It should work, but to be safe you can use a fain grain sandpaper and sand them a little.
BTW - RIT dye really only works on white/light colors - so who knows what color they'll really end up - it might not be straight black, but if you sand them down so the colors gone they should dye more evenly.
