Would love a critique.

Hey guys, just put together this mountain biking video for Trails 2000, a local company that maintains mountain biking trails. I did most of the ground work as well as the editing, let me know what you think!

Really awesome shots!

The only things I noticed were at 2:15 (and this is really picky) the color tone of that shot was different than the rest of the video, its not terrible or anything, it just stuck out to me. Maybe the lighting changed outside?

Also, in the future, I'd use a reflector when filming an interview subject outside. Drag someone along and make them hold up that big piece of aluminum foil. In the shot, his face was really dark and underexposed. A reflector would shine the sun right up on his face and make it pop out. Or if you can't find someone, just have the subject turn so his face is lit up by the sun. (And tell them to suck it up when they bitch about it being too bright haha)

Still, really awesome job!

nice job, I've never seen a bike edit shot like that so it's cool you switched it up a bit.

my only critique would be that the shot at 1:55 of him just standing there with his bike seemed unnecessary. I think it broke up the flow you had going, which isn't always bad, but I might have used a shot that was more focused on a trail feature or something as I'm guessing the edit is to spread awareness of the trail (?).

it's not a big deal, but it stuck out to me. I liked it besides that!

Thank you! Yeah that shot was shot with the camera from the hell and the color was a bit off, attempted to adjust in post, but was slightly difficult. About the portrait, I agree entirely, didn't even have my audio mic on me and wasn't prepared for the interview. Next time it will be more professional.
