Worth upgrading the 18-55 kit lens?

Wow totally butchered this post.. Hit enter on accident. Also the 18-55*

Anyways, I was considering upgrading to the sigma 17-50 f2.8 or the tamron 17-50 f2.8.

I find myself shooting the focal range often and I feel as though some added sharpness could be nice to have.

Also between the two 17-50 lenses, which is better?

The Tamron is a fantastic lens and it's probably my go-to. Very sharp and pretty good build quality. I've had to take mine apart a few times due to a loose screw on the zoom ring but mine's pretty old and used so you'd likely never have that issue. The main thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a smooth zoom ring, so if you're trying to zoom in and out while shooting video it will be sticky.

Thanks man, i think ill make that purchase then.

I have the sigma and it's what I use 90% of the time, huge improvement on the kit lens. You can't really go wrong between that and the tamron.

I'd say you should try and buy used if you can as you can get pretty decent discounts on both of these that way
