an underwhelming year of entries skiing wise, how many more times will xgames drag this contest on as is. skiers and snowboarders combined soon? who cares.

starting things off with the worst skiing, taylor lundquist.

great use of a winch here. really creative feature for this tough trick. nice touch with having swadburg in the shot to make it appear taller than it actually is.

old man tanner made his return to rails, which he shouldnt have. i dont care if youre old, he doesnt look good or comfortable on rails anymore.

at least hes only about a foot away from properly grabbing blunt here. thats half the distance from the missed wall. progression is the name of the game. impressive at that age.

cool triple backflip though, i dont think anyone saw that coming on that jump.

ferdinand dahl hit a park jump in his xgames real ski video. im all setwith that one. dont disrespect all these other contestants. thats rude.

not sure whats going on with lupes mouth in a lot of shots. all i could think about. mouthguard? but no helmet? chill smooth jams though.

alex hackel made sure to sneak in a signature Bunch dance move.

wow very cool license plate on your navigator. hopefully a shout out to kanye, hes pretty awesome. i considered looking up the plates to make sure its your car, but after a couple of google searches i realized i dont care. why am i even doing this.

I still hate the bunch’s forced ass style where every Time they land throw their arms around and shit like the car dealership blow ups and immediately after they land have to do an Ollie or nollie to show off their stupid fucking hand movements

Damn that was hilarious. Honestly Tanner Hall should never be allowed to not use poles as without poles he looks like shit. I'm not sure why none of his homies have told him that but please use poles man. I don't know how you forgot to point out that awful music in Hackel's edit but damn why did he do that hahaha. Also shout out to A Hall and hopefully that is his Lincoln since the kid has been winning huge comps hopefully he's actually making some money unlike anyone else in the industry.

They've been doing their thing for a while now, I don't think you can say it's forced at this point. this is also a very unoriginal criticism that I've been hearing over and over again for years now.

Your point is? They didn’t used to even when they skied with no poles 4-5years ago. It seems pretty purposeful. Idk if you’ve seen Magnus on IG, man throws his arms every time he turns. Hackel does it every time he lands something. To me it looks far from natural.

My point is that people have been whining about arm movements for ages saying the exact same things that you are.

As someone who has seen the look on my buddy's face when I smashed the teeth out of my head, I can confirm. I was still in a daze and didnt know the extent of it and the look of pure horror when he ran up told me everything I needed to know about how fucked I was. The the dentist also had to make a smartass comment saying, "Well kid, your lucky you didnt bite your tongue off..."

On a side note, I got temporary caps a few days later and one fell out. Then I had to work a few days at Quiznos with half of my front tooth missing and it whistled when I talked. Customers literally treated me like I was mentally slow or something. That was the worst fucking shift I ever worked.

Some of OP’s stuff was true but ya im kinda a hater of what’s been said, for sure about AHall and Hackel. Hackel’s part was the sweetest ever. Also, the arm waving is awesome and it is natural. Have you ever tried swerving or buttering all bonered with arms by your side? That is unatural if anything. Hating on The Bunch or hating on style in general is quite lame, because even if you don’t prefer the style, everyone is skiing their own personal preference of style, which each has its own beauty.

Congrats A-Hall! some of your shit looked like a rip off of an Olympic aerial event, but u also did some very amazing things!
 
The dub 7 over the wall looked wild. Wish we could have seen the takeoff to know how gnarly it was from the other side.

Tanners segment just sort of bummed me out. I started subconsciously rubbing my knees and sighing n shit.

In general I approve of these clips getting dragged. Somebody had to say it.
 
Hackels edit was filmed pretty shitty. On the sw 270 on blind whatever u couldnt even see the hole trick. Also on the dub 7 would be nice to see the takeoff...

Were there actually only 9 tricks in hackels edit? I was thinking about counting the shots myself since a few of them seemed alot lighter. Ahalls seemed like it had no fillers all bangers while some of them felt like filler shots/alternate angles took up the whole edit

Counting whole lines as single tricks and I might've miscounted a few but I'm not gonna rewatch to count again.

Hackel - 9 tricks

Ahall - 16 tricks

Thall - 10 tricks

Damn that’s actually a crazy breakdown. How does he have less tricks than a guy who got hurt half way through the comp? Imo that solidifies Ahall at number 1 Hackel at 2 Lupe at 3.
