Worst area to live and be a skiier

I live in So Dak. It's living hell for skiing. I struggle to get in a couple days of riding in each season because I live 2 hours from the closest hill and its a POS chuck full of snowboards that are chads. Another huge struggle is being the only person that skis or even snowboards. I have no friends that share any interest in shredding. Any other shitty places to live and ski?
 
virginia bro. shit sucks. though i do go to school in pennsylvania where i ski everyday but pennsylvania kinds sucks too sooo....either way i'm forked
 
I live 5 hours from the closest mountain, but the ride has taken as long as 8. It's Tahoe though, so definitely better than the POS hill you are by.
 
pretty much anywhere where their aint mountains in view, i live in an island called Jersey which is in between France and England. 1000 miles away from the Alps
 
don't have it that bad but i live 5 min from a hill with no terrain park its called Crystal Ridge Ski Area in Franklin Wisconsin look it up on facebook help us get a terrain park!!!!
 
I'd say anywhere in the south the midwest and ice coast may not be ideal, but I couldn't imagine literally not having snow
 
living in the southeast is mostly ski ghettos. besides app mtn in NC. I come from the worst resort in the region.... Winterplace W.Va.
 
I lived in VA most of my life. Sucked. Finally said f*ck it in January, packed my stuff, and moved to Utah. I'll never go back except to see family occasionally.
 
if you are trying to say your area is the worst place to live for a skier and it snows where you live, you are doing it wrong

I'm moving to Guatemala in a month... Not exactly a skiing destination. My sanity is partially at stake.

I live in northern New Zealand. 8 Hours to the nearest mountain, but half the winter it is shut and the other half it is ice. Nearest decent skiing is 2 days drive away.
 
^are you FUCKING kidding me, i honestly came into this thread to say that. So i'll one up you and say the sun, becasuse i'm the best skier on the mountain.
