Worn down alpine toe, best choice of binding?

To be safe should I go with something like an attack2 16 GW etc. with adjustable toe height? Or will a p15 GW also work?

Get your soles planed to 0° (makes them "fresh") and 5mm lifters installed will bring your boot back to alpine norm dimensions and prevent permanent wearing out of the soles (just get new lifters when they wear out).

Cheaper than buying new bindings and gives a lot of life to your boot.

Thougth it was to late for that!

But the thing is the boots are old and pretty worn out, fit isn´t 100% so this will be the last season(if they make it) I am in them. So I´m not sure I wanna spend more money on them.. (cheap student*)

And there´s not much left of my old p18´s and I don´t want to mount my new skis with them so I´ll have to buy new bindings either way.

Your toe doesn't look beyond the point of no return. But I would imagine that the wear is not only in the toe? Check your heel - I bet the outer side is worn pretty good too. You might be able to adjust your toe height to match your worn toe but you might have some issues with the heel since bindings don't really have heel height adjusters. And that could mean pre-release city.

Just be aware that shops (should) be checking for boot sole wear when they mount bindings. It's one of the reasons they ask for both boots to be brought in. They have this handy little gauge they put on the toe & heel to check for wear. If it's too worn, they won't mount the bindings because your boot is no longer in the norm and they can be held liable for "passing" your set up.

If that's the case, you might be looking at new boots too. Then I would definitely do the plane, lift, and router trick.
