World Series bets?

Been a crazy season so far (how about them Orioles?), who are the extremely early season bets for the world series? I'll bump this in October to see if anyone ended up getting it correct, and please don't tell me the Red Sox.

0-6 on april 8.....yea, you're right. season's over. pack it up, boston.

though i think they're probably going to cave into the pressure to win tomorrow, and blow it somehow.
 
You're totally right, 0-6 teams from the start always win the world series! Thats not really how it goes, not at least if you've ever watched baseball, bud. Given their upcoming schedule with how they're playing right now, I don't really see them getting out of the rut in the near future. They spent too much on Gonzalez and Crawford, and needless to say, 3 losses to the Indians is pretty embarrassing.
 
yea i'm not saying its the most fantastic start to the season or that they'll cruise straight to the series, but writing them off right now is outright stupid. It's april. Anything can happen between now and october.

Trust me, I watch more than my fair share of baseball.
 
i think the giants have a good chance to repeat. they have the same pitching as last year along with an improved offense.
but idk you can not tell this early in the season. I'd be happy to see any team win except for the red sox, yankees, and phillies

no team has ever started a season 0-6 and gone to the world series, just saying....

but the rockies are going all the way
 
Rangers have a load of fucking offense. It'll be scary rolling in to texas in August when shit will be going deep left and right.

Only a week in and the Rangers look really good.
 
I'm hoping my Twins have a chance, but after watching our second baseman get destroyed, thanks Yankees, my hopes aren't quite as high. The Rangers are off to a fast start and I don't see them stopping anytime soon. In terms of placing a bet, I'm gonna go Rangers beating the Cardinals, 4 games to 2.
 
No kidding, I've got him on my fantasy team and must say...damn haha, im happy. I've also got felix hernandez and cc sabathia and currently losing my head to head. Guess I gotta find a way to trade for, or pick up some better offense.

Agreed, which is partially why I posted what I did. I really wanted them to win the first ws in a long time (recent) that they did but shit, I can't take the Boston attitude. It has translated into wayy too long term for me. Can't wait to watch them drop the series to the Yanks.
 
Although we don't have much pitching this year, I'm still pulling for the rockies. Tulo is on fire and todd is seeing the ball again. Plus the rockies play well as a team
 
I have orange blood running through my veins, so I really wantt he Giants to go to the World Series again. With people gunning for them and all the hype, I don't see it happening. I hate to say it, but that's how i see it. Rangers will go again for the AL and the NL will be Phillies or Giants. If we pick up our offense, we could be cruising. Posey finally had a good game and Brandon Belt is already kicking ass. We play the Dodgers in SF on Monday. I would love a sweep to quiet my Dodger fan friends.

the NL west is the hardest division in baseball so i dont think the giants are going to win the division. maybe the wildcard.

All you guys saying the Red Sox are gonna shit the bed dont know shit. terrible start? yes. But there are 156 more games. And they are stacked. AND IM A YANKEE FAN!

Texas is a powerhouse. Baltimore always has a decent first half but they are in the toughest division in baseball.

In the NL, it was cool to see San Fran win it. Lincecum is awesome. They are def gonna be a contender again but Philly.....best team in baseball on paper and they seem to be living up to it so far.
 
once the red sox start winning and if they stay healthy they are going to be scary, you cant ignore the fact that there stacked as fuck; look at how the heat started out this season. And before you go and tell me that no team has won the world series after starting 0-6, who beat the yankees down 3 games to 0 in the alcs and won the world series, last time i checked that shit didnt happen all the time.
I myself am a mariners fan unfortunately, oh well.. felix with be filthy and ichiro will get 200 hits again, awesome

 
Another team that if they werent in the AL east would be in the playoffs and have a better record. if they would just stop giving away all their good pitchers.
 
hoping the ROCKIES providing they are able to stay relatively healthy.

thats kind of a pipe dream though the phillies are downright scary with that pitching rotation..

The Rockies will not go. They won't win the NL West or wildcard. Phillies have the best chance on paper, but that means nothing to be honest. Giants beat them last year in six games. Red Sox will not go, the Yankees will win the AL East. Rangers will go to the World Series again, there' almost no doubt in my mind. The NL is a toss up. The Reds are most certainly a team to watch out for. If it comes down to Phillies v. Rangers, the Rangers will win.
 
Hardly giving them away. Halladay had to be traded, he wanted to play for a contender... and we got back 3 very good prospects, including Drabek who was pretty filthy in his last start.

Marcum was traded for a very good 3B prospect in Brett Lawrie, who raked in AA despite being the youngest player in the league.

Plus, its not like our rotation now is garbage.

Jays are going to be in the playoffs in the next 3 seasons; especially if MLB adds another wild card spot.
 
I bet that if I watch the World Series, I will doze off no less than 3 times.

Since I stopped playing ball, I can't stay awake/focused through a game on TV.
 
Easy guy.

I wasnt shitting on them. I was implying that they have a good team but are just overshadowed by The Red Sox & The Yankees.
