anyone here worked for Ruapehu Alpine lifts?

whats working in the snow school like? what about say rentals or something? do you get much on snow time? are they good people to work for generally?

i dunno dude, but they never look very happy if you know what i mean. it sucks working as a liftie if the weather is shit cause its cold and miserable but it sucks even more if the weather is perfect if you know what i mean. work in a bar and then you can ski all day

unless your high up in the chain at a ski hill it kinda sucks to work there, very bad pay and not as much skiing as you would think. Being a liftie is probably the least skiing your going to get same as guestservices, you get payed shit so you have to work as much as you can to survive and barely get time to ski. Being an instructor is well... not for everyone, you start at the bottom of the chain and have dicks be your boss and you still don't get to ski much cause you spend all your time on the learner runs, although i will say its fun to live the ski resort lifestlye for awhile but i would diff say try to get a job at night and ski all day

uh. heh. ive worked on a hill before. i was just wondering what working for RAL was like in particular. :)
