Skogen was my favorite skier in the early 2000s when i was in middle school

He was my coach at COC in 2002, Anyone remember that sick edit he had on the line site to "Reminisce" by Pete Rock?

His split part with Evan Raps to "Here We Go Again" by the Kottonmouth Kings in Ski Movie is still one of my favorite segments in a ski movie. He had so much style.
 
Remember him from back in the days when I actually knew who almost all the pro freeskiers were and they were sick. Nowadays I couldn't care less about all these lil kids on the pro scene who act sick.
I miss those early 2000s.
 
Fuck yea! Such an epic segment. I thought that tow in from the car to 180 that step up into trees was the sickest thing I had ever seen when Raps did it. And of course Skogen slayed the park in his section. Damn Ski Movie was sick, I need to watch that again.

and was the 1st skier to ever get a cover of a magazine sliding a rail.

Freeze circa 2002.. the shits in the game where he slides 2 rails in a row..

Evan Raps is still my fav skier though.. that tree stall 180 out , and his d-spin 9 at core games 02

and his fukin amazing amaizng cork 7 lu kangs.. sooo G!

late 90's early 2000's was where it was at..

 
Skogen Sprang and Evan Raps were probably my earliest inspiration when it came to skiing. Evan's Cork 7 liu kangs were so dirty, and I always loved Skogens switch rodeos.
 
I remember the first time i bought twin tips- went into the shop and skogens segment was playing- and i have been addicted to skiing since
hes a boss- no doubt about it
 
killed a couple of those but still have one green and one orange one mounted up as beater skis
 
word, those first gen pro models were soooo sick. id love to see line do some throwback graphics or something with their old logos. the Metal logo and the negative space logo (on the orange 1260s and darksides) were ill. actually, that whole crop of line skis that season are still some of my favorites. the first gen 1260s were pretty sick, but the orange ones were when they got official.
 
whoa whoa whoa, let's not take credit away from anthony boronowski. he mastered both way spinning and sliding way back when. but yeah skogen is indeed one of the og bad asses.
 
Hmm looks like your going to have to pick up our movie in the fall :)...We have about 7-8 minutes of Tahoe backcountry this year. I love it out here and happy it isnt in ski movies anymore.
 
no doubt...such a sick team! i still rock my skogen pro-model line tshirt....green one w/ 3 bombs in the middle of the shirt. still dope to this day.
