I'm assuming washington isnt considered a prarie.... what does it say about the northwest and Canada?

I dunno, my dad brought me a article from the calgary herald that said 'Almanac sees snowy winter, wet spring ahead' and it talks about how we (praires) are gonna get more snow than average (and i guess they cant be COMPLETE guesses or else they wouldnt have survived for 210 years).

i dont know about the almanac. but i think some weather man around my area said that we should have a bigger winter this year bescaue of the weather patterns or something. i live in south dakota so were considered plains.

well i trust those farmers because if a farmer can come up with something this stupid hes gotta be right ('we derive our weather forcasts from a secret formula devised by the founder of the almanac in 1792, enhanced by the most modern scientific calculations based on solar activity and current meteorological data'). I cant wait for snow.

I heard from the farmers almanac a 'snowy active winter' for the northeast and midwest this year. last year they said was a 'Decent winter'

if that was decent, i cant wait to see what this one is gonna be right

and damn i hope they are right again

We had no rain out here in the east so hopefully it all comes down as snow.....It's come some how!

Farmers alamanac is based on previous years (decades and decades).

When tehy are right, which is rare, then everyone makes a big deal about it.

Its like you asking me what the weather will be like july fourth next summer, and I give you an answer of 50 percent rain, 50 percent sun.

Dont get your hopes up on those things. Fun to read, but bad to believe.

farmers almanac is pretty right, not only is it based on past stuff but like the weather trends now and how plants/animals have been reacting

yeah, my friend told me about that, he also said it was supposed to start getting cold and snowy by the end of september, it already cooling down a lot so this looks good

We need way more snow than last year. Where I ski it was terrible.
