Wooden edgeless skis??

Can I take the edges off of my Line Afterbangs?

I would only use them in urban. The skis are like from 2012 and mostly just wood.

My idea is making them "edgeless" urban skis that i can trash around.

might be best to just take the edges off from underfoot. also would put some epoxy to the part where there is no edge so no water etc gets into the core

They technically don’t have a core. If any ski was built to be custom edgeless it was the afterbang.

excuse the ignorance but what does this mean? its foam not wood?

Big thx for the answers. I am totally gonna do it and ride them this season. Just thinking if they become so noodles that the skis are unuseable.

The afterbangs are built like a skate deck. Layers of wood pressed together.

Weren't they like super shitty skis? Feels like they'd get super heavy and lifeless after a full season

Yes and yet for some reason every kid at my local rode them for a season or two, I blame travelling circus

afterbangs are the weirdest skis i have tried. they got stiffer when it was cold and became straight noodles when it was warmer. it was the same ski too. tried two pairs from different seasons (15 and 12 i believe) both of the owners said that they got stiffer when it got cold
