I've been checking out some urban spots I want to hit this winter but a lot of them have wooden rails. I've never done anything on wood and I was wondering if its worth it. If anyone has ever hit wooden rails, do you have any advice? thanks
but seriously best time to hit a wooden rail is the coldest night of the season. pour some water on it and let it freeze into the wood. it might also be a good idea to break off any excess ice that might cause a lumpy rail.
Killington had a whole trail of wooden rails when I went there last season, and honestly there wasn't as much of a difference as you'd think. I think it was the good conditions, but if they were too icy I feel like they'd just be slippery af.
