Womens Outerwear

Ladies, does anyone know of any brands that have good womens outerwear and the coats cover your ass but dont look huge on you? I have a Burton and love it but the time is coming to update.

I have checked Burton, Saga, 686, Oakley, Roxy, Fly Low the norms but everything is kind of wack not feeling anything.

I checked out Dope Snow/ Montec and their stuff is cool but how legitimate are they? Anyone buy their stuff before?

I've been rocking armada men's stuff (because I'm tall) but I'm actually planning to try on a bunch of stuff at slopestyle tomorrow, if I come across anything I'll let you know!

i've always had the same issue, stuff is always too short and snug in the butt until i size up to something that looks like i'm wearing my big brother's old shit.

i just bought this in large a few weeks ago at slopestyle and i love it. it's fairly long, covers my whole butt, i have flexibility to move/squat/jump/sit, and it doesn't look like a snowboard jacket (can't quite put my finger on why.) armada's other jackets from this season all look to be around the same length, give em a lookie

just tried on some stuff from a company called forward never heard of them before but their stuff seems super nice and fits really well.

I'm not even that tall but I still like the way the Armada men's stuff fits.

For actual women's gear I have a women's Orage Jacket in size large that I really love, it covers my butt nicely but isn't crazy baggy, you just have to get one of their longer cut jackets. I usually prefer wearing men's stuff in general though, I get snaked less in the park when I'm all covered up wearing men's gear people just assume I'm a teenage boy and I get more respect.

I don't think I own a piece of womens outer wear (not counting my boots) My coat for when its reaallyy cold out is an Armada mens coat. Its not too huge but the sleeves are too long so it gets annoying. For when its just regular cold its an Armada hooded vest thats too big but it covers the butt. Otherwise its a thick hoodie with baselayers underneath. And my pants are Bloom. I also prefer in general mens stuff because theres plenty of room to move around.

I get mistaken for a dude often by people that dont know me. The guys that do are totally stoked to see a lady out there trying no matter what I'm wearing.

I've always worn Armada (men's and women's) so I'm a bit biased. The cut of each jacket is totally different though which changes the fit completely. I usually measure from my neck to where I like my jackets then look for jackets with that length - I usually rock a men's small or a women's medium which is baggy enough for me and usually covers my butt, also I'm 5'1 and I hate anything fitted so none of that weird women's fitted in the waist shit for me.

That being said I have heard good things about Picture, North Face Steep Series is also a longer fit, Orage used to be pretty good but honestly haven't seen any of their new stuff, Montec has kind of blown up out of nowhere my roommate has one of the jackets which fits more hip length but I saw a girl in one which was a longer fit (it's definitely more affordable than some but you often do get what you pay for and there are zero independent reviews of the brand so who knows). If you don't care about "ski" branding pretty much any snowboard brand tends to have a longer fit for women - burton, volcom, nikita, etc. etc.

Good to know about the snowboard gear. I HATE womens fitted anything

Honestly, it's so annoying! It'd be sweet if companies made at least one jacket in their line not fitted for women. Most girls I know hate it as well.

i dont know many good brands tbh, because ive had a major issue with fit for all of them. i have an armada jacket right now that i love the length, but its just a shell, and they dont make sizes bigger than large to fit extra layers under. ride is a snowboard brand but its one of the few ones that ive had little complaints about sizing... currently looking at montec because theyre stuff runs a little bigger.
